USA and North American soccer shirts - green white hoops
This page shows shirts from North America (mostly the USA and Mexico, which being normally considered Central America is geographically in the North American continent) that also have the green white hoops or stripes, or that are similar to the Stromp shirt (one side green, one side white).
There are several teams across the Atlantic with kits similar to the Sporting Clube de Portugal one, but they are usually smaller clubs and it is difficult to procure one of their shirts. There are also several affiliates of Sporting Lisbon that are very significant within their communities, such as Sporting Club Toronto in Canada and Santa Clara Sporting Clube in the US.
USA, gaelic football. This team from Philadelphia plays in the New York GAA league. Gaelic games, including hurling and football, are played in NY since at least 1857. This is a beautiful longsleeves Umbro jersey.
Mexico, match worn shirt. Club de Futbol León was founded in 1944. It has won 5 Campeonatos de Liga, 5 de Copa, 4 Campeón de Campeones and 1 Título de Campeonísimo

USA, St. Patrick's Day Parade 2005. The fabric of this jersey is typical of a soccer sports shirt, but it was probably specially made for the parade with the Celtic colors of Ireland.
Something special: a jersey where the stripes on the back and front mismatch
Whenever I travel professionally and meet foreign colleagues, we talk about soccer and I ask them whether they know some team with the hoops from their countries. Sometimes this is how I find about a particular team, and it is how I found about Santos Laguna, from a Mexican colleague, who not only told me about it, he also actually sent me the shirt. This is a unique kit in the collection, because the green stripes on the back do not meet with the green stripes on the front, instead, they switch from green to white. So this is not a truly hooped shirt, since there are no hoops going full circle around.
Club Santos Laguna
Mexico. Replica soccer jersey. Founded as Santos IMSS Laguna, the club played its first game only in 1983, but soon became very successful with regular presences in the Copa Libertadores de America
